Hurlin returned to his party members in the temple entrance
- He warned Sym and Beastmaster of jellies ahead
- The party shared their knowledge of jellies and decided to
engage
- The party narrowly survived their combat with the jellies, and took
a break to recover
- The party continued exploring the ruins, finding a shortsword and a
reliquary containing a magic ring
- While investigating the obstructed back room of the temple, they
were interrupted by a message from the sending stone
- Dazlyn warned the party of trouble outside
The party left the temple to find a group of orcs walking through
the dwarves’ camp
- The party took cover to hide with the dwarves nearby
- The dwarves told the party that there were mining explosives in the
back corner of the tent that could distract the orcs
- Sym cast a spell to detonate the explosives, injuring several of the
orcs and knocking them prone
Roz, along with sidekicks Bearman + Manand, were stealthily
following the orcs from behind
- Surprised by the explosion, but seizing the opportunity, they
decided to engage the orcs
- Through a joint effort with the existing party members, the allies
swiftly defeated the orcs
Roz explained that she was also a new arrival to Phandalin
- Roz was helping Manand and Bearman collect more food in the forest
after their supplies had been destroyed by the dragon
- They ran into the orcs, overhead them talking about eating dwarves,
and decided to trail the orcs to rescue the dwarves
- Roz decided to make common cause with the party, and join them in
their adventures around Phandalin
The dwarves set up a new camp for the night while the party
returned to the temple
- Hurlin wild-shaped into a giant badger and cleared a small tunnel to
the back room of the temple
- The group crawled through into the back room
- The room contained two statues wearing a copper necklace and an
ornate necklace
- The party deftly managed to avoid a trap to retrieve a magical
Amulet of Abbathor
- The room also held another reliquary with another magical ring
- Meanwhile, Roz collected usable armour and weapons from the fallen
orcs
The party rested for the night, then went back to Phandalin
- Bearman and Manand left to collect more food in the forest
- The dwarves joined the party on the way back to town, then went to
the Miner’s Exchange

The party found a new set of quests posted on the board by the
Townmaster’s Hall
- The party chose to accept Adabra’s quest to find Edric Mossfoot
- The party knocked on the door of the Townmaster’s Hall to notify
Harbin Wester
- Harbin was paranoid as usual
- He gave the party their due reward for notifying the dwarves, and a
bonus reward for slaying the orcs
The party investigated the Shrine of Luck near the town
square
- They identified it as a shrine to the goddess Tymora
- They also identified the shrine as having an affiliation with the
Harpers
- The PCs recognize the Harpers as an order of benevolent adventurers
and monster hunters
The party left to consult with Adabra about the quest
- Upon arriving to Adabra’s windmill home at Umbridge Hill, they met a
manticore named Fluffy
- After telling Fluffy that they had come to visit Adabra, Fluffy
allowed the party to pass
- Adabra gave the party some general advice on finding Edric, and sent
them on their way
The party decided to visit Falcon’s Hunting Lodge to seek further
directions for finding Edric
- The party travelled towards the Triboar Trail, and rested for the
night
- They met a travelling armorer + merchant dwarf named Theron
- The party forgot to bring a bottle of drink for Falcon
- Roz convinced the gatehouse guards to let the party enter regardless
by flaunting her cooking prowess
- Roz claimed the party had been sent to the lodge by Adabra
- The party was granted entrance to the ornate lodge
